Affiliate disclosure

Some links on Well Almanac are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Well Almanac may earn a commission. You pay the same price either way.

Which programs

• Amazon Associates. Well Almanac is applying to Amazon Associates. Until membership is active, links to Amazon are plain product links that earn nothing. Once it is, this line will read: as an Amazon Associate, Well Almanac earns from qualifying purchases.
• Manufacturer programs. Well Almanac applies to affiliate programs run by water-treatment manufacturers whose products appear on the site (for example SpringWell, Aquasana and US Water Systems). A program is listed here by name once membership is active.

How affiliate links are marked

Every page with affiliate links shows a disclosure above the first one. Outbound product links go through a /go/ address on this site, so you can see where you’re being sent, and they’re marked rel="sponsored" in the page code.

What commissions don’t change

Commission rates don’t decide which products are listed or in what order. A product is included because its published specifications fit the problem the page addresses (how we research), and products with no affiliate program are recommended when they fit best. Merchants don’t see pages before publication.
